Until now, the adhesion of coloured paints on chrome and other electroplated surfaces has often been poor or even unacceptable. Where a particular product made high demands on resilience and load-bearing capacity, manufacturers have had to limit themselves to those few colours that could be applied directly during electroplating. With immediate effect, WB Lasutec allows unlimited colour designs to be applied to chrome, copper, aluminium, zinc and brass.

With its new Safe Guard paint system, WB coatings offers industrial and trade customers two precise methods to enable them to identify a product as their own manufacture independent of its location and for the entire duration of its service lifetime. This protects end users against fakes, suppliers against inappropriate defect liability claims and manufacturers against low-quality copies of their products and parts. The two versions differ in the processes used to apply and check the marker. The marker is invisible to the naked eye, and is simply sprayed onto an inconspicuous part of the product or mixed into the topcoat as a concentrate and applied with it. From 18 – 23 March 2018, we will be at the light+building 2018 exhibition in Frankfurt for the first time. As guests on the stand booked by the Südwestfalen university of applied sciences, our focus will be on cooperation within an R&D project on the topic of "WB Wizard Light – illuminated surfaces using fluorescent conversion paints". With the new Future Colour Mix paint mix system, WB coatings is able to manufacture its semi-gloss PUR Plus (texture) paints in quantities from one kilo upwards with guaranteed colour accuracy and deliver within 24 hours. Even in such small quantities, customers will still receive the same high-grade PUR Plus quality they are used to.

If a uniform illuminated surface is required from LED points of light but the results are disappointing, this is often a result of the processes used up to now: health-threatening etching methods, high-expenditure film wraps or dirty sand-blasting are often accompanied by serious loss of light intensity. WB Quantum Diffusion scatter paint does what it says: irrespective of the shape of the object, and with remarkably little effort, lamp elements made of standard glass or plastic can be coated to create lighting effects with high transmission rates and scatter effects.

WB coatings exhibited at the première of the lighting technology 2017 trade fair in Essen on its own stand. At first sight, this caused many raised eyebrows among both visitors and other exhibitors. They had hardly expected to see a paint manufacturer at a trade fair for lighting technology. The resulting interest in our many innovations for generating intelligent lighting surfaces was tangible and we were able to offer nearly every discussion partner on our stand at least one product solution for an acute task in their field of application. The stand was frequented in a similar vein on every day of the exhibition.   

WB coatings has expanded its range of products regarding cabinets for professional loudspeakers by introducing Warnex Pro. This two-component polyurea system features above-average resilience in terms of mechanical, chemical and weather-related stresses, on the one hand, and on the other hand, distinguishes itself from competing products by the softer surface appearance and variable textures it achieves. Besides loudspeaker cabinets, Warnex Pro can be used to advantage for sealing virtually all horizontal and vertical wooden surfaces if they are frequently subjected to high stresses.

In production machinery manufacture, it is not only the technical challenges that count but, to an increasing extent, also the visual requirements of housings. To enable Lahntechnik, refrigeration solutions for industry, to be especially flexible when delivering its high-quality equipment to customers, the company operates a state-of-the-art paint & lacquer application installation and places its confidence in WB coatings' premium products. Pretreatment involves fully automated phosphating in conjunction with fast-drying texture paints, which results in much shorter production times – and that, in turn, increases profitability.

It is not the mineral oil companies that threaten vehicle charging stations, but adverse weather conditions and vandalism. This is why these shelters have to be protected against UV rays, saline air, graffiti and similar threats. EBG compleo, a producer of charging stations, designs its chargers using industrial coatings supplied by WB coatings.
